How do I qualify for a free boiler grant?

Qualifying homeowners, and tenants in private rented property (but not those in council run properties), who claim one or more of the listed benefit types could be entitled to a free replacement boiler grant under the Government’s ECO3 Scheme. What are the benefits of the free boiler grant scheme?

The homeowner boiler scheme was initiated in order to provide eligible occupants across England with efficient and affordable heating. This means that as much as 35p of every pound spent on heating costs is being wasted. If you or anyone permanently living in your household are in receipt of any of the benefits listed below, you could qualify for a free gas boiler or electrical heating grant.

Under the conditions of the Government ECO scheme, your boiler must be over 6 years old to be eligible for a FREE boiler grant. However, if your boiler is under 6 years old, then it is considered that it will be more cost effective to repair your current boiler, than to replace it.
